Express Wisdom, Wear Your Truth

When you wear a shirt, carry a tote or use a mug, chances are you’ve either chosen that item because you like the design, or because it expresses your truth.

Or both.

If it says something witty or philosophical, you were drawn toward that product because it resonated with you and you want to share this perspective with others.

I know when I choose a product like the ones mentioned above, it’s because of these reasons. I love a great design, but I also appreciate sharing a message that either made me laugh or made me think.

Now I’m a creative person. I’m always looking to do something fun.

Maybe this is the first time you’re visiting I AM MY Imagination. Or, perhaps you’ve been here before and you’re familiar with my work.

Regardless, I’m someone who sees the world in a certain way and I express these observations through my writing.

The truth is, Humanity is at a crossroads. We can either choose awareness and do something about the predicament we’re in – or we can stay asleep.

I say we just wake the f*ck up and accept responsibility for ourselves. I say “for ourselves” because if each and every single human being out there did just that, we’d be living in a different world.

I mean that in a good way.

We’re so busy trying to change others that we don’t see what we bring to the table. We remain unaware of our shadows. We live our lives believing everything we’ve been told without question – yet we DO question the ones who question things.

So I say, keep an open mind. Allow some wiggle room in your perspective.

~ Is it possible you may harbor some of the traits you aren’t so cool with in others?

~ Have you bought into the brainwashing of society?

~ Are you aware you’ve been programmed?

I could go on, and I have in other posts. I’ve also discussed some of the issues we humans face in my books “Streetwise Philosophy” and “Choose Awareness.”

But while it’s cool to write articles and books, the kid in me likes to come out and play. Not the inner-brat kind of kid either. The creative one with an imagination that doesn’t stop.

And since I AM my imagination, I’ve decided to design a bunch of nifty items that express some of the thoughts and ideas that I feel the public would benefit from.

So with this being said, I’m SO excited to share my new venture with you.

I started designing products on Teespring – and the messages in them can and will inspire new thought, inspiration and an awakening to those who wear them, read them and ponder the sayings.

Express Wisdom, Wear Your Truth

I recently did an interview discussing why being authentic matters. In it, I talked about why it’s so important to live your truth.

However, for a lot of us, this isn’t such an easy thing to do.

You may not see this, but we tend to lie to ourselves more often than we’d like to believe.

What we think and believe may seem like objective truth, but when you ponder where these things came from (and you truly want to know the answer), you’ll see that what you hold within you, for the most part anyway, are the notions you’ve carried around with you throughout your life.

These are the things you’ve been taught by others, who were all following the same path.

They, like you, learned what they were told by their parents, peers, teachers, religious leaders, the media, etc.

So basically –

Truth…is often confused for an opinion based on a lifetime of conditioning.

I had come to this realization (rather painfully I might add) a few years ago. When you realize that your foundation in life includes stories, many of which aren’t necessarily true, you begin to wonder what IS true.

It’s been an interesting journey ever since.

You also start to see that it’s possible (and even probable) that you haven’t been thinking for yourself. Witnessing life through an objective perspective.

That’s pretty tough to do when your angle on things has been tainted.

This was the case for me.

I had to start seeing the world differently, but this was challenging because I didn’t know how to view what I was looking at. This includes the world in general, in addition to my inner-world.

Was it possible that I had been basing my perspective on life through a clogged filter?

I mean, past experiences and the emotions they’ve created cloud things. Not to mention, you’ve undoubtedly heard that there’s always three sides to a story. Yours, theirs and the truth.

Well, how could you know what’s true when you only see your side of things?

I’ll answer that.

You can’t, so you may as well admit it.

Plus, I can assure you that most of what you hear on the news and from the media and entertainment industries are also one-sided, staged (to a degree) and filled with opinions by paid actors and public personalities – all thinking thoughts, holding beliefs and living life through their own conditioning.

So when you see this, you realize that when this information situates itself into your subconscious mind, it becomes a part of you.

An Independent Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste

It’s rough to see that so much of our environment is filled with the teachings and opinions of those who have all subscribed to the massive conditioning that takes place throughout our upbringing.

The good news is, there’s always time and opportunity to free your mind…but you have to be willing to see things as they are.

When you allow yourself to become somewhat neutral and OBSERVE without preconceived notions, you enable an expansion of perspective.

You basically allow yourself to see what’s in front of you, what’s within you and even what’s behind you with an open mind and a desire to experience a (more) accurate assessment of things.

This frees you up in ways you’ll only understand once you go through a detaching of your stories and subsequent metamorphosis.

I’ve done this by questioning my past experiences and being willing to admit that maybe there was a chance I had seen things from only one angle.

I’ve also had to step back and start questioning the information I’ve been fed throughout my life. It turns out that most of it wasn’t objectively true, and this left me free to start making my own assessments of things with a lot more accuracy.

I feel an independent mind is an asset to oneself and society. It truly is a terrible thing to waste, and I’m excited to share this piece of insight with others.

The Rest of the Collection

I’d love to sit here and go through each and every design I’ve created…

But I’m a bit short on time.

In a nutshell, I’ll tell you this, though.

~ Until we face the war within ourselves, the world WILL never change (as within, so without).

~ The BEST source of information to use as often as possible really IS your own bullshit meter.

~ Untangling the web of chaos in your mind WILL serve you well.

~ The Butterfly Effect means that everything we do DOES matter.

~ It IS wise to calm the f*down and observe oneself (this is SO beneficial to do in life).

~ And yes, you DO want to become your own guru.

And there’s more where all of that came from.

I love these designs and I’ve gotten some positive feedback from others.

The shirts come in sizes small to 3XL. You can choose from a variety of tank tops, tees (v-neck and crewneck), tote bags, mugs and hoodies.

Visit Imagination Lane on and check out my other designs. I’ve also created a store that focuses on well-being. You can check out I AM Well-Being here.

And below are the two tops I’ve designed from this collection.

These come in a few different colors, styles and product options.

We are wise to declare we ARE well-being. And plus, I happen to LOVE kale, so I would wear this shirt proudly.

This is Just the Beginning

I’m only getting started here, so expect more to come.

Lastly, if you have an idea or philosophy you’d like to see made into a product, let me know in the comment’s section and I’ll respond.

Let’s change the world together, one expression at a time.

Until next time, take care.
