Study the Solopreneur – Blogging From Paradise with Ryan Biddulph
1 – What did you do before becoming a solopreneur?
I was a security guard at a shipping terminal. Getting fired put me on this path LOL. Before that I worked a number of office jobs to kinda coast through life.
2 – What inspired you to make the change? What made you decide to go into what you’re doing now?
Being fired HAHAHA. Seriously; I was downsized as a security officer, then, saw a more fun, freeing way to live. Sitting at home made me realize I could have the freedom to work from home and travel. Light bulb moment.
3 – You’re a successful blogger, author, solopreneur – just to name a few of your accomplishments. I know your work has been featured on some big-name blogs and websites. What obstacles and challenges have you encountered along your journey and how have you handled them?
The biggest obstacle BY FAR was blogging from an energy of love, not fear. This was tough because I had to develop emotional intelligence. Not always a fun thing because seeing myself and my fears and pains in the light of truth, sucked. Plus I did not enjoy crying, grieving, getting angry, feel enraged, ashamed and embarrassed, to clear those fears, to become who I am today. Necessary part of the journey though. Blogging and life get easier if you face and feel fears so you live and blog predominantly from an abundant, generous, trusting energy. Meditation, deep yin yoga and exercise moves those energies along for me.
4 – I know you travel the world – blogging from paradise. In fact, it seems a lot of your content is inspired by the different experiences you have visiting other places. What do you love most about what you’re doing?
Freedom and fascination, Dana. I am free to circle the globe and feel fascinated every time I see and experience a new culture live and in the flesh. Fun times. Freedom rocks, and seeing and embracing different cultures rocks.
5 – You’ve written over 125 ebooks. That’s quite an accomplishment. What inspired you to do this and what motivated you to produce so much content?
The inspiration was just getting an idea to keep on writing a 6000 word eBook daily. I cannot put my finger on the reason other than ideas kept flowing to me and I just sat down and wrote. I also released a fear of “too many eBooks” because we live in abundance, so TOO MUCH does not exist.
6 – I know health and fitness is a big part of your life. Tell us how this has impacted your business model.
Health and fitness boosted my energy, big time, and also made me aware of when I resisted fears, versus facing fears. When you feel good in your body and mind, you do not bullshit yourself. Nope. You genuinely are super straight with yourself and fears. Natural way to be, when you are in shape, energized and well.
7 – You reference the law of attraction a lot in your work. How has this played out in your life and how do you feel others would benefit from approaching success using this?
Love and abundance versus fear and poverty, Dana. The LOA is about BEING, or vibing at a frequency, then, acting, whether blogging or whatever. Vibe from love and even though it feels really uncomfortable at times, life goes get easier and easier. AKA, you feel loved and cared for, vibe at a super prosperity conscious energy, and write 90 eBooks in 90 days. Most humans vibe at fear, and have so many fear-mental blocks that they cannot write 1 eBook in 90 days LOL. Be generous, trust, vibe from love, nudge into deep fears, make scary decisions sometimes, feel uncomfortable, and you align with your dreams, rocking ideas and fabulous people like yourself.
8 – What advice would you give to someone struggling with their lives/career based on your own experience and knowledge?
Struggle = Fear. You are REALLY afraid of something or someone or some event. Face it, feel it – however uncomfortable or whatever feelings arise – and as you feel and clear the fear, you begin BEING the person who knifes through the struggle.
9 – What projects are you working on now?
Lots of guest posting and blogging, really. Plus promoting my eBooks and courses as always.
10 – Ryan, where can people find you?

The Takeaway
While Ryan was kind enough to write down the answers to my questions, he elaborates a lot more in the discussion. The topics of fear, living in the matrix, self-awareness, the law of attraction and generosity were discussed at length and as far as I’m concerned, you don’t want to miss out on hearing that.
So make sure to listen in and just allow the message to resonate.

Thoughts?
Personally, I really enjoyed speaking with Ryan. He gives a fresh and uplifting perspective about success, freedom and human consciousness. I hope you enjoyed this discussion, and, of course, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Sorry for being here so late. I really enjoyed Ryan’s interview. I’ve known Ryan for years way before he was the successful blogger from paradise that he is today. He’s such a great inspiration to many. Get out of the metrics, people. As Ryan says TV and media will keep you in the metrics if you let them.
Dana says
Yes, so true about the media and, TV. You don’t know how much this stuff influences your mind, and so deeply until you are aware of what you’re looking at – how it all works.
I’ve known both you and Ryan for years now & it’s been such a pleasure to see you both do so well – and just get to know you in general.
Thanks so much for stopping by Sylviane π

I enjoyed reading this interview, though I’ve seen other places where Ryan’s been interviewed. I’m still waiting for someone to ask him about those roaches crawling all over his face (yuck!). lol As much as I’m sometimes amazed at my output of material over the years, Ryan’s the champion; he deserves his due. Thanks for sharing this Dana.
Dana says
Hey Mitch,
LOL, I don’t know anything about roaches (haven’t heard that one). I’m a bit intrigued now, though π
Glad you enjoyed this. Ryan shares some thought-provoking material. I got a lot out of our conversation and yes, he definitely deserves his due.
Thanks for stopping by Mitch. Always good to see you here.

Hi Dana and Ryan,
Great to see Ryan here – he was one of the first mentors I’ve had here in Blogging – it always amazed me how he started and how far he has come. It amazed how little he knew and how much he learned over the years on his own and that his wife also is a blogger.
His passion for writing is clear and I can’t believe how much he can write in a such a short period of time. Something I’d love to learn!
Thanks for sharing his story with us Dana and have a great week, I hope the storm passes you by down there.
Dana says
Hey Lisa,
Sorry for the delayed reply. I was out of town for a bridal shower. And yes, thankfully that storm passed without hitting us.
I agree with what you aid about Ryan’s ability to write so much (and so easily). I know he keeps things authentic and he’s consistent. I’d love to do that as well.
I’m glad you enjoyed this and I’m thrilled you stopped by. Talk soon and hope all is well over by you π

Hi Dana,
Great to see Ryan here sharing his advice. I think that freedom to travel and do what we like to do is the core of blogging with a purpose of course. Weather it is selling e-books, courses, e-courses, etc. Blogging provides us with a way to connect with others. Thereby we can market in a better energy than that old push-marketing whereby people shove things down our throats. Ryan sure has the knack of marketing in a gentle way, always giving. He comes not from fear, but from a love space.

Hi Donna,
Good to see you π
Yes, Ryan does have that knack for marketing. You can tell he’s authentic – always from a place of enthusiasm, generosity, and abundance.
I’m thrilled to share his message – both in this post and the guest post he contributed here (Blogging Energy 101: You See It By BEing It). I’ve learned a lot from him.
Thanks for stopping by.
